Reitz, 23 (7/29/82), has recorded a career-high 28 points (5-23=28) in 71 games with Houston this season. The 6-foot-1, 210-pound defenseman added one power play, one shorthanded goal and ranked third on the team with 137 penalty minutes. Reitz played in 38 games with the Aeros in 2004-05 and notched 14 points (2-12=14) and 91 penalty minutes before suffering a season-ending injury on February 5, 2005. The Detroit, Michigan-native is in his fourth season with Houston and has totaled 85 points (18-67=85) and 488 penalty minutes in 240 career AHL contests.
He was originally selected by Minnesota in the sixth round (170th overall) of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. Reitz was previously recalled by the Wild from December 19-21, 2003, but did not appear in a game.
