MINNESOTA WILD REASSIGNS LW BENOIT POULIOT TO HOUSTON AEROS
SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Minnesota Wild President and General Manager Doug Risebrough today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned LW Benoit Pouliot (pronounced BEHN-wah POO-lee-ott) to the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Pouliot, 20 (9/29/86), was originally recalled by Minnesota on November 21 and made his NHL debut the following night at Montreal. The 6-foot-3, 188-pound forward skated in three games with the Wild and recorded one shot and logged 6:58 in average ice-time. The Alfred, Ontario-native was originally selected by Minnesota with the fourth overall pick in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft
Despite missing five Aeros games this season, Pouliot still leads the team in goals (11) and ranks second in points (15).
