MINNESOTA WILD REASSIGNS D SHAWN BELLE TO HOUSTON AEROS

SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Minnesota Wild President and General Manager Doug Risebrough today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned D Shawn Belle to the American Hockey League’s (AHL) Houston Aeros, the Wild’s primary development affiliate.

Belle, 21 (1/3/85), skated in four games with the Wild and collected an assist, a +1 rating and averaged 10:31 in ice-time after being recalled by Minnesota on November 30. The 6-foot-2, 238-pound defenseman made his NHL debut on December 1 against Detroit and registered his first-career NHL point with an assist at Dallas on December 2. Belle has eight points (1-7=8) in 21 games this season with the Aeros, who play host to Manitoba on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m.
