WILD RECALLS VOROS
November 22, 2007 HOUSTON, Texas- Minnesota Wild President and General Manager Doug Risebrough today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled left wing Aaron Voros from the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Voros, 26 (7/2/81), scored two goals and accumulated 14 penalty minutes in six games with the Wild after making his NHL debut Nov. 11 in Colorado. He was originally reassigned to the Aeros this morning. Voros has eight points (4-4=8) and a team-high 46 penalty minutes in 12 games with the Aeros this season. The 6-foot-3, 205-pound native of Vancouver, B.C., was New Jersey’s eighth-round choice (No. 229 overall) in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. Minnesota acquired Voros from the Devils for a seventh-round pick on March 1, 2007.
The Aeros will square off against the Milwaukee Admirals for two games this weekend (Friday, Sunday). The Aeros are promoting their Thanksgiving Special for the games in which fans can get center ice seats for $20 and corner seats for just $15. Call (713) 974-PUCK for tickets.
