AEROS NOTES
Oh, captain, my captain - RW Jon DiSalvatore was named captain prior to Friday’s game against Peoria. It’s the first time the Aeros have had a captain since Erik Reitz wore the “C” during the 2007-08 season.

Team leaders - RW J-M Daoust leads the Aeros in goals with eight and points with 17 (8-9=17). Daoust has recorded a point in nine of his last 12 games and scored a goal in four of his last six games. DiSalvatore leads the club with 11 assists.

Milestones - D Ryan Lannon has played 299 AHL games. D Brandon Rogers is five games away from his 300th in the AHL. D Jamie Fraser is two games away from his 200th in the AHL. DiSalvatore is two helpers away from 200 AHL assists.

Special teams - The Aeros’ penalty kill continues to rank near the top of the league stopping 90 of 98 chances, good for second in the AHL. Their eight PPG allowed is tied with Texas for the fewest in the league.

Home not so sweet home - The Aeros are one of only four AHL teams with a losing record at home this season (6-7-1-0).

“D” up - Aeros goaltenders have a combined 2.22 GAA this season, 4th in the AHL. The Aeros average 24.3 shots against per game, the lowest in the league.

.500 - The Aeros are in danger of falling below the .500 mark for the first time since losing 3-1 at the Texas Stars to drop to 6-7-0-0 (11/1).
