AEROS RECALL BARRY BRUST FROM FLORIDA (ECHL)

HOUSTON – Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled left wing Robbie Earl and goaltender Anton Khudobin (who-DOH-bin) from the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL). Aeros General Manager Jim Mill also announced the Aeros have recalled goaltender Barry Brust from the Florida Everblades (ECHL).

Earl, 24 (6/2/85), was originally recalled from Houston on Nov. 13 and posted two goals in seven games with Minnesota before being reassigned to the Aeros on Nov. 30. He scored both goals, including the first of his NHL career, Nov. 15 in Carolina. Earl ranks tied for sixth on the Aeros’ roster with nine points (5-4=9) in 19 games. The 5-foot-11, 197-pound native of Chicago, Ill. recorded nine points (4-5=9) in 33 regular season games last season with Houston and added nine points (5-4=9) in 20 playoff contests after being acquired from Toronto in exchange for Ryan Hamilton on Jan. 21, 2009.

Khudobin, 23 (5/7/86), was recalled from Houston Oct. 27 and didn’t appear in a game with the Wild before being reassigned to the Aeros Nov. 3. He is 9-7-1 with a 1.89 GAA, a .921 SV% and four shutouts – tied for the AHL lead – in 18 games this season for the Aeros. Khudobin helped lead Houston to the Western Conference Finals last season, with an 8-8 postseason mark, along with a 2.70 GAA and a .900 SV%. Khudobin was the ECHL’s Goaltender of the Year and an all-ECHL selection in 2007-08, when he went 20-1-4 with a 1.98 GAA and a .934 SV% for Texas. The 5-foot-11, 176-pound native of Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan, was originally selected by Minnesota in the seventh round (206th overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.

Brust, 26 (8/8/83), has posted a 3-2-2 record in nine games for Florida this season with a 2.91 GAA and .906 SV%. The 6-foot-2, 235-pound native of Swan River, Manitoba was assigned to the Everblades on November 10 and will wear number 33 for the Aeros.
