AEROS HOST SAN ANTONIO ON BIKINI NIGHT SATURDAY

HOUSTON – Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned left wing Robbie Earl and right wing Jon DiSalvatore to the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Earl, 24 (6/2/85), was recalled from Houston for the second time this season Dec. 15. He has posted three goals in nine games with Minnesota. He scored two goals, including the first of his NHL career, Nov. 15 in Carolina. At the time of his recall, Earl ranked tied for sixth on the Aeros’ roster with nine points (5-4=9) in 19 games. The 5-foot-11, 197-pound native of Chicago, Ill. recorded nine points (4-5=9) in 33 regular season games last season with Houston and added nine points (5-4=9) in 20 playoff contests after being acquired from Toronto in exchange for Ryan Hamilton on Jan. 21, 2009.

DiSalvatore, 28 (3/30/81), ranks third on the Aeros roster with 19 points (8-11=19) and is tied for the team lead with three power play goals while being one of only two players to skate in all 32 games. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound native of Bangor, Maine, played five NHL games in the 2005-06 season with the St. Louis Blues. DiSalvatore was San Jose’s fourth-round pick (No. 104 overall) in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. DiSalvatore, who was originally recalled earlier today, was signed by the Wild as a free agent on July 17, 2009.

The Aeros return to the ice Saturday, December 26, as they host Lone Star rival San Antonio on Bikini Night at Toyota Center. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:35 PM and the first 3,000 fans receive an Aeros beach towel. Listen to the game on 1070 AM-KNTH and ahllive.com. Follow the in-game blog at zamchron.com.
