"We understand the playoffs, we understand where we're at but we also understand our gameplan and try to execute that gameplan," Aeros head coach Kevin Constantine said. "We executed pretty well tonight, I just don't think at the end of the day you take all of those shots we took against [Cory] Schneider...we just need to find a more effective way to score goals."

Both clubs went 0-for-1 on the power play in a scoreless opening period where the Aeros outshot Manitoba 7-6. Entering the game, the Aeros had killed all 14 Manitoba power plays until the Moose got the scoring started 10:16 into the middle stanza. Brust got caught behind his own cage trying to gather the puck when RW Guillaume Desbiens gained control and attempted a wrap-around bid that eventually found the stick of RW Sergei Shirokov for the power play goal.

Houston tied the game at 13:35. D Jamie Fraser snapped a pass to C Nathan Smith camped out to the right of the net who directed a feed to Milroy for his eighth of the season. However, Manitoba answered 36 seconds later off the stick of LW Michael Grabner to retake a one-goal lead, 2-1, at 14:11.

Through the opening 15:27 of the third period, neither team could find the net, but Noreau finally tallied the game-tying goal with a left point bid through traffic. RW J-M Daoust and C Cody Almond were credited with assists on the power play goal. Manitoba answered swiftly yet again as Labrie scored his fourth of the season 1:10 later off helpers from RW Mike Keane and C Mario Bliznak.

The Aeros were outshot 29-28 by Manitoba on the night and both squads went 1-for-3 on the man advantage. Aeros C Peter Zingoni returned to the lineup after missing five games due to injury.

The State Farm Lone Star Faceoff continues tomorrow night at the Cedar Park Center as the Aeros take on the Texas Stars for a 7:30 p.m. puck drop. Houston hosts the Stars Saturday night for a 7:35 p.m. game at Toyota Center televised live on Fox Sports Plus. Both games will also be broadcast live on the internet via
