MINNESOTA REASSIGNS SCANDELLA TO HOUSTON
SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn- Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher tonight announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned defenseman Marco Scandella to the Houston Aeros.
Scandella played in seven games for the Aeros last season, registering an assist and seven PIM. Prior to joining the Aeros, Scandella played in 31 games for Val d’Or Foreurs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League during the 2009-10 season, where he totaled 31 points with nine goals and 22 assists (9+22=31) and 41 PIM.
Scandella was a second round pick (#55 overall) of the Minnesota Wild in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
The Aeros open their preseason schedule tonight against the San Antonio Rampage at 7pm with the game being played at Sugar Land Ice & Sports Center, the Aeros official practice facility.
