HOUSTON --- Warren Peters had a goal and an assist, Marco Scandella collected a pair of helpers and Anton Khudobin made 34 saves in goal as the Houston Aeros won their second game in a row, 4-2 over the Texas Stars Sunday at Toyota Center.
Carson McMillan scored the game-winner at the 6:00 mark of the third, breaking a 2-2 deadlock after the Stars battled back from a 2-0 deficit. McMillan also had the game-winning goal Saturday. Nate Prosser bagged an insurance goal at 9:51 to help secure the win.

Kris Fredheim gave Houston a 1-0 lead with his first AHL goal 5:03 into the first period. In the second, Peters swept a rebound past Stars goalie Richard Bachman (24 saves) at 11:37 for his first of the season. Peters' goal came just three seconds after an Aeros 5-on-3 power play expired.
Francis Wathier made it a one-goal game at 15:20 of the second, beating Khudobin with a high stick side shot for his third tally of the season. Mathieu Tousignant tied it with his second goal of the season 2:16 into the third.
Khudobin earned his second win of the season and turned aside 17 of 18 shots in the middle period.
The Aeros (4-5-1-0, 9 points) host the Toronto Marlies Friday for a 7:35 p.m. game at Toyota Center. The team will salute active duty personnel, the families of military serving in war zones, families who have lost loved ones, as well as dozens of newly enlisted military.
The night will include special presentations to the active duty personnel, including a number of service personnel recently back from Iraq, and a swearing-in ceremony for the new members of America’s military.
