HOUSTON --- Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned defenseman Marco Scandella to the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Scandella, 20 (2/23/90), has one assist and two penalty minutes (PIM) in five games for the Wild this season. He made his NHL debut Nov. 12 at Florida. The Montreal, Quebec, native has recorded eight points (1-7=8) and 11 PIM in 14 games with the Aeros this season. Scandella was originally selected by Minnesota in the second round (No. 55 overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
The Aeros (9-7-1-2, 21 pts.) return home Sunday at 4:05 p.m. to face the Texas Stars.
