OVERVIEW
The Aeros enter the week of Feb. 14 leading both the West Division and Western Conference in points (68). The team is also tied with San Antonio for the most wins (32) in the Western Conference. Houston plays three times this week; it’s their ninth three-in-three weekend of the season. Overall, the Aeros play 13 three-in-three stretches. This week the bombers host Chicago in an 11:05 a.m. game on Thursday. From there, they visit Milwaukee on Friday and Rockford on Saturday.

LAST WEEK
The Aeros had a busy week, playing four games and covering miles from Houston to St. Paul, Minn. The Aeros beat Texas 4-1 on Tuesday, knocked over Rockford by the same score on Wednesday and then edged Peoria in a 4-3 shootout on Friday. The teams then bused to St. Paul where they battled on Sunday at Xcel Energy Center. Peoria skipped past the Aeros on the home ice of the Minnesota Wild by a 3-1 count.

•    The Aeros set a season-high with their sixth consecutive win on Friday at Peoria.
•    All 32 of Houston’s wins have come when the team allows three or fewer goals.
•    26 of Houston’s wins have come when they score the first goal.
•    The Aeros won their 30th game of the 2010-11 season on Feb. 8 at TEX in their 53rd game. Last season, it took the club 71 games to win 30 overall (March 26).
•    Houston’s 56 games played is tied for second-most in the AHL behind Lake Erie (57).
•    Sunday’s game at St. Paul marked the third time the Aeros hosted a game at Xcel Energy Center. The club has split their previous two decisions in St. Paul, posting a 3-1 victory over the Grand Rapids Griffins on Mar. 7, 2005 and dropping a 2-1 decision to the Milwaukee Admirals on Dec. 8, 2002.

JANUARY JUGGERNAUT --- The Aeros had an impressive month of January by recording a 10-2-0-1 record and moving into position to challenge for the top spot in the Western Conference. Here’s a rundown of nuggets from January…
•    Jan. 2011 was the sixth time in franchise history the team has recorded 10 or more wins in a month. The last time was Jan.2003 (11-2-3-0).
•    The franchise has recorded 10 wins or more in a month in four other seasons (1997-98, 1998-99, 2000-01, 2002-03).
•    In the 1997-98 and 00-01 seasons the team lost in the 1st round of playoffs. In the 1998-99 and 2002-03 seasons the team went on to win championships.
•    The Aeros have never finished season lower than 2nd in their division when recording 10 or more wins in one month.
