CALDER CUP FINALS GAME 4 POSTGAME REPORT
JUNE 3, 2011: BNG 3, HOU 0

BINGHAMTON, New York --- Cody Bass scored the only goal the Binghamton Senators needed and Robin Lehner made  21 stops in goal as the Senators defeated the Houston Aeros 3-0 in Game 4 of the 2011 Calder Cup Finals before 4,710 fans at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena on Friday night.

The victory evened the series at two games apiece. Game 5 is Saturday in Binghamton, at 6:05 p.m. CST and then the series returns to Houston for Game 6 on Tuesday, June 7 at 7:05 p.m. CST. Game 7 is scheduled for June 9 at 7:05 p.m. if necessary. Tickets for both games at Toyota Center are available now. Game 7 tickets will be refunded in the event the contest does not take place.

The Senators outshot the Aeros 17-8 in the opening 20 minutes and opened up a 12-5 shot advantage by the time Cody Bass broke through with a goal at 11:48. Bass stuffed the puck past Aeros goaltender Matt Hackett on a wraparound with the assists going to Colin Greening and David Dziurzynski.

Corey Locke made it a 2-0 game with a 5-on-3 power play goal at the 17:10 mark of the first period and the Senators added another in the third period on Derek Smith’s first playoff goal just 2:19 into the frame.

Hackett made 34 saves in the loss, which marked just the fifth time the Aeros have been shut out in Calder Cup Playoff action.

BOMB DROPPINGS
The Aeros had not been held scoreless in a postseason game since a 7-0 loss in Game 6 at Milwaukee during the 2009 West Division Finals, a span of 29 games. Houston went on to win that series with a 5-2 win in Game 7... The 37 shots allowed was the fourth-most allowed this postseason and the most since Hamilton’s 38 in Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals… Tonight’s game was just the fourth time the Aeros have allowed 35 or more shots; the team is 1-3 in those contests.
