Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled forward Jeff Taffe (TAYF) from the Houston Aeros.

WILD RECALLS TAFFE FROM AEROS
HOUSTON (DECEMBER 8, 2011) --- Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled forward Jeff Taffe (TAYF) from the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL). The Wild has also placed forward Devin Setoguchi on injured reserve, retroactive to Tuesday, Dec. 6.
Taffe, 30 (2/19/81), ranks third on the Aeros with 17 points (5-12=17) in 23 games, while tying for the team lead with 57 shots. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound native of Hastings, Minn., tallied 67 points (30-37=67) for the AHL’s Rockford IceHogs in 2010-11. He has played 175 NHL games with Phoenix, the New York Rangers, Pittsburgh, Florida and Chicago, recording 44 points (21-23=44). Taffe was St. Louis’ first-round pick (No. 30 overall) in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. He played collegiately at the University of Minnesota. Taffe, who signed with the Wild as a free agent July 3, 2011, wears No. 19 with the Wild.
