SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. Minnesota Wild Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Risebrough announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled left wing Jeremy Stevenson from the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL), the teams primary development affiliate.
Stevenson, 28 (7/28/74), has tallied 13 points (6-7=13) in 18 games this season for Houston. He ranks second on the team with 77 penalty minutes, has recorded two power play goals and a +8 plus/minus rating.
The 6-foot-2, 218 pound winger spent most of last season with the Milwaukee Admirals of the AHL where he recorded 19 points (12-7=19) in 53 games along with 192 penalty minutes. Stevenson has appeared in 68 career NHL games with the Anaheim Mighty Ducks and Nashville Predators, collecting 10 points (4-6=10) and 182 penalty minutes. The San Bernardino, California native was originally selected by Winnipeg in the 3rd round (60th overall) of the 1992 NHL Entry Draft. The Minnesota Wild signed him to a contact on November 26, 2002.
In other transactions, the Houston Aeros released D Keith McCambridge on Dec. 27th.
