HOUSTON The first game of a busy weekend for the Houston Aeros gives them a chance to make team history. The Aeros currently have a 13-game unbeaten streak (11 wins, no losses and two ties). If they record a win or tie on Friday at the Milwaukee Admirals, it will set a new mark for longest streak without a loss. The overtime win in Chicago last night tied Houstons original unbeaten streak of 12-0-1 set December 20, 1997 to January 19, 1998.
Houston has defeated seven different teams during its unbeaten streak, including division rivals Milwaukee, Chicago and San Antonio. The streak began on December 21 against the Norfolk Admirals and Houston has outscored its opponents 53-25 in the past 13 games. The Aeros have won the last two games on the road in overtime. Fridays match-up from Milwaukee begins at 7:12 PM and will broadcast on KSEV AM 700 The Voice.
The Aeros return home to host the Manitoba Moose on Saturday at 7:30 PM and Sunday at 5:00 PM before playing eight consecutive games on the road. SpongeBob SquarePants will be at Compaq Center for both games. Saturdays game will be televised on KTBU-55 The Tube.
