HOUSTON JUNIOR AEROS MIDGET MAJORS SWEEP SILVER STICKS
The Houston Junior Aeros Midget Major Hockey Team swept through the competition at the Western Regional Silver Sticks competition held in Dallas, Texas the week of December 26th. The Jr. Aeros Team, made up of 16-18 year old boys and one girl, from the Houston metropolitan area regularly compete in the Midget Major AA division of The North Texas Amateur Hockey League.
This is the second year in a row that this team won the Western Finals and earned the right to compete in the North American Finals held this year in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada.
The Jr. Aeros went undefeated all week, winning their four round robin games defeating the Texas Aces, Dallas Junior Stars, Dallas Titans and the Dallas Penguins. In the semi-finals, they defeated the Penguins in a rematch and had to face the undefeated Duncanville Dragons for the championship. The Aeros made quick work of the Dragons, defeating them 5-2 and are on their way to Canada.
