Josh Young is in his sixth season with the Aeros and was promoted to the position of Senior Directpr of Tickets Sales in July, 2012.
He previously served as the team's Director of Outside Sales and Special Events as well as Amateur Hockey Coordinator since joining the team in December of 2007. Josh previously worked as a general manager in the Restaurant Industry in his native Indiana.
He played football for the Ball State University Cardinals as a walk-on after playing for two Indiana state championship high school football teams at Penn High School. Josh also served as a football coach after college for five years.
As a graduate of the Game Face Sports Academy in 2007, Josh was charged with overseeing the Aeros Youth and Amateur Hockey program. Quickly making an impact on the Aeros and the AHL as he was awarded the AHLs Most Unique Promotion by the formation of the Houston Hockey Series. The Hockey Series is an adult amateur hockey league that plays in conjunction with the Aeros at Toyota Center.
Josh also created houstonhockeyinsider.com as a way for local hockey leagues and rinks to promote each other and share information. He also organized the first amateur hockey tournaments at Toyota Center which have grown in popularity to become annual events. The AHL boasts the Aeros Adult Hockey Program as the largest in the American Hockey League.
Josh enjoys working out and playing basketball and football in his spare time and is an avid Ball State / Notre Dame football fan.
