MINNESOTA WILD REASSIGNS RW MATT FOY AND C WYATT SMITH TO HOUSTON
SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Minnesota Wild President and General Manager Doug Risebrough today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned RW Matt Foy (pictured) and C Wyatt Smith to the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Foy, 23 (5/18/83), appeared in two games with Minnesota and recorded two penalty minutes (PIM), a plus/minus rating of +2, one shot on goal and averaged 7:28 of ice time. Smith, 29 (2/13/77), skated in three games with the Wild and recorded three shots on goal, a plus/minus rating of +1 and averaged 7:35 of ice time. Both players were tied for the Aeros’ scoring lead when originally recalled by Minnesota on October 18.
