VOROS, PAYER REASSIGNED TO AEROS TRAINING CAMP

HOUSTON, Texas – Minnesota Wild President and General Manager Doug Risebrough today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has assigned left wing Aaron Voros and center Serge Payer to the training camp of the Houston Aeros, their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate.

Voros, 26 (7/2/81), split 58 games last season between Lowell and Houston of the AHL tallying five points (2-3=5) and 58 penalty minutes (PIM) in 19 games with the Aeros. Prior to joining Houston the 6-foot-4, 200 pound, Vancouver, B.C., native notched 17 points (9-8-17) and 111 PIM in 39 games with Lowell. Voros also played in 153 AHL games with Albany from the 2003-06 seasons tallying 61 points (29-32=61) and 414 PIM. Voros played three collegiate seasons with NCAA Alaska-Fairbanks totaling 89 games marking 62 points (36-26=62) and 275 PIM.

Payer, 28 (5/9/79), split 48 games last season between AHL Binghamton and NHL Ottowa tallying 18 points (6-12=18) and 31 PIM, all in his 43 games with Binghamton. The 6-foot-0, 191 pound, Rockland, Ont., native played in 71 games with NHL Florida in the 2005-06 season marking six points (2-4=6) and 26 PIM. Since first playing in the AHL in 2000, Payer has totaled 243 games notching 115 points (43-72=115) and 180 PIM in the league.
