AEROS RELEASE 2008-09 PROMOTIONAL SCHEDULE

HOUSTON, Texas – The Houston Aeros, proud affiliate of the Minnesota Wild, announced their 2008-09 promotional schedule today. The Aeros’ 15th Anniversary Season will be celebrated with a schedule packed with themed nights and giveaways. Election Night featuring John McCain and Barack Obama bobbleheads along with an Aeros collector bobblehead set and rink highlight the celebratory season.

The action starts on opening night, October 11, when the Aeros host the defending champion Chicago Wolves at 7:35 p.m. The first 3,000 fans at Toyota Center will be treated to a 15-year history calendar presented by Hadfield Communications. The calendar will feature artwork of players and fans, both past and present.

Seven nights in the Aeros 40-game home schedule will feature bobblehead giveaways starting with Election Night on Sunday, November 2 in which the first 3,000 fans will receive either a John McCain or Barack Obama bobblehead. The collector set will feature former Aeros players that are fan favorites from the team’s 15-year history. Starting on Military Night, Saturday, November 22, fans will be treated to a replica Aeros rink and the first Aeros legend of the set. The remaining five bobblehead nights are; November 28, December 13, January 16, February 27, and March 21.

Other notable nights and giveaways include: 15-year Fleece Blanket (Saturday, Dec. 6), Bikini and Fitness Night featuring Aeros cow bells (Friday, Dec. 26), Boy Scout Night featuring Aeros Thundersticks (Saturday, Jan. 24), Mullet Night (Friday, Jan. 30), Chili Cook Off & Faith Night featuring Aeros Rally Towels (Saturday, Feb. 21).

Tickets for the Aeros’ 15th Anniversary Season will go on sale to the public this Friday, September 26 at 10 a.m. Tickets are available by calling 1-866-GO-AEROS, at the Toyota Center Box Office and select Randalls locations and also online via AEROS.com. Ticket prices begin at only $14 per seat.
