GAMESHEET

Pouliot opened the scoring at the 7:59 mark of the first period when he scored his sixth goal of the season on assists from Jesse Schultz and Tomas Mojzis. Just 31 seconds later, defenseman Maxim Noreau scored his 12th goal of the season when took a pass from Robbie Earl and beat Admirals’ goaltender Drew MacIntyre. That proved to be all the Aeros would need for the win. Houston only allowed three shots in the first period and took the 2-0 lead into the intermission.

Houston continued the pressure in the second period again outshooting the Admirals 11-5 and Pouliot made it a 3-0 game with 94 seconds remaining in the period. He tipped a shot by Mojzis over the shoulder of MacIntyre for the first of two power play goals in the game.

Kelsey Wilson cut the Aeros lead to 3-1 at the 8:56 mark of the third period on an assist from Cody Franson, but that was as close as the home team would get. Krys Kolanos scored the Aeros’ second power play goal of the game and his team-leading 26th of the season at the 16:56 mark of the period to finish the scoring. He was assisted by Corey Locke who extended his point streak to 10 games, and Noreau who recorded his ninth multiple-point game of the season with a goal and an assist.

The Aeros finished the game outshooting the Admirals 27-16 and Houston went 2-5 on the power play while killing all three of Milwaukee’s man-advantages. Houston improved their record to 3-1-1-1 against Milwaukee this season.
