AEROS HOST HAMILTON TUESDAY, 7:05 PM AT TOYOTA CENTER
SAN ANTONIO – G Anton Khudobin (4-2-0) made 28 saves for his second career shutout and first of the season as the Aeros (5-4-0-0) earned a weekend sweep against the Rampage (6-3-0-0) with a 2-0 victory in front of 2,582 at AT&T Center Sunday. C Andy Hilbert scored the game winning goal 4:39 into the third period and RW J.M. Daoust added an empty net goal in the final minute. G Al Montoya (4-3-0) made 26 saves in the loss for the Rampage.

Neither team could find the net through the first 40 minutes of play. The Aeros outshot the Rampage 7-5 in the opening period. Houston killed two minor penalties while the Rampage held the Aeros scoreless on their only man advantage through two.
The Aeros struck twice Saturday night in the third period, making 10 of the teams 18 goals scored in the third period. The Aeros again scored twice in the final frame Sunday, Aeros LW Colton Gillies took advantage of a Rampage defensive breakdown finding Hilbert all alone in front of the net where he beat Montoya for the eventual game-winner. Daoust would then seal it with 43 seconds left with an ENG for his third goal of the year and fifth point.
The Aeros finished the game 0-for-2 on the power play, bringing their season total to 4-for-42 (9.5%). Houston was again perfect on the penalty kill going 3-for-3 on the night; they’re now 30-for-31 (96.8%) on the season. Hilbert and C Nathan Smith returned to the lineup after being reassigned by Minnesota on Saturday. Khudobin made 26 saves in his first career shutout victory vs. Chicago, March 20, 2008.
With the victory the Aeros take the lead in the Lone Star Faceoff standings with eight points. The Texas Stars are now in second position with seven points and the Rampage are in third with four points.
