    BOXSCORE

After a scoreless first period, neither club had any trouble lighting the lamp in the second frame. The Aeros got on the board first at 4:28 when C Chad Rau cleaned up his own rebound. Less than a minute later RW Jean-Michel Daoust tallied his sixth of the year off a slap shot from the right circle at 5:12. RW Jon DiSalvatore put Houston up three when he tipped home D Maxim Noreau’s shot from the center point for a power play goal at the 5:56 mark.

San Antonio began the comeback off the stick of LW Jeff Hoggan at 7:42. LW Brett MacLean then scored at 8:27 and on the power-play at 9:18 to tie the game 3-3, capping off a stretch of six goals in 4:50.

The Rampage took the lead at 12:22 during a 4-on-4 when C Kevin Porter beat Khudobin glove-side. After allowing four goals on eight shots in the second period, Khudobin was replaced by G Wade Dubielewicz.

The Aeros began the third period with a flurry of chances but were unable to capitalize and the Rampage extended their lead when RW Chad Kolarik deflected a pass from Porter at 5:32. Hoggan capped off the scoring with his second of the game, short-handed at 10:01.

The Aeros outshot San Antonio 32-20 and were 1-for-5 on the man advantage. The Rampage went 1-for-2 on the power play and scored a short-handed goal. The Aeros had over 60 schools represented at the 7th Annual Kids Game and set a record in attendance with 11,291.

The clubs meet again tomorrow night in San Antonio. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at the AT&T Center. The game can be heard live on 1070 AM-KNTH and ahllive.com. Follow the in-game blog on zamchron.com.
