AEROS NOTES

Final Countdown - The Aeros enter tonight's game with just six games left on the 2009-10 season. The club will host Rockford Tuesday Apr. 6 and Texas Saturday Apr. 10 for their remaining home games. The Aeros will not travel outside the state of Texas for the remainder of the season with a visit to Cedar Park Center tomorrow night and two trips to San Antonio the final week of the season.

Squadron Leaders -
With three points (2-1=3) scored last week, RW Jon DiSalvatore tied D Maxim Noreau for the team lead with 50 points. DiSalvatore leads the club in goals scored with 21 while Noreau it tops on the team with 32 assists. LW Matt Kassian still leads Aeros skaters with 144 PIM.

Maximum Effort -
Noreau was selected a Second Team AHL All-Star as voted by AHL coaches, players and media in each of the league’s 29 member cities yesterday. The Montreal native has set career highs this season in goals (18), assists and points 50. His 18 goals ranks first among AHL defensemen and his 50 points ranks fifth.

Wolf Woes -
The Aeros have had their troubles with the West Division leading Wolves this season. Chicago has outscored the Aeros 28-6 in seven games including a 4-0 shutout of the Aeros Wednesday night. The Wolves is the only team Houston has played this season to hold them out of the win column (0-6-0-1).

Penalty Kill -
The Aeros penalty kill currently ranks fourth in the league at 86.1% holding opponents to just 41 power play goals in 296 chances this season, including killing all five Chicago power plays Wednesday night. Houston's PK hasn't ranked lower than fifth this season.

March Madness -
Seven of the Aeros' 12 games in March were one-goal games, six of which were decided either in overtime or by shootout. Houston finished March with a 2-5-1-4 record.

Milestones -
C Nathan Smith is six games away from his 500th pro game. Noreau played in his 200th pro game Wednesday night. RW J-M Daoust's next assist will be the 150th helper of his pro career.
