WILD DEFEAT DETROIT RED WINGS FOR TRAVERSE CITY CROWN
The Minnesota Wild completed their undefeated tournament run with a 3-1 victory over the Detriot Red Wings to capture the 13th Annual Traverse City NHL Prospects Tournament championship on Wednesday evening.
The Wild came from behind scoring all three goals in the final nine minutes of the game to defeat the Red Wings. Former Aeros Cody Almond and Marco Scandella each scored a goal in the win, while goaltender Matt Hackett made 30 saves. Hackett was the Wild’s third-round pick (77th overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
