HOUSTON AEROS REASSIGN FRASER TO ELMIRA
HOUSTON --- Houston Aeros General Manager Jim Mill today announced the American Hockey League (AHL) club has reassigned defenseman Jamie Fraser to the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL.
Fraser, 25 (11/17/85), appeared in 14 games for the Aeros this season and posted one assist (0-1=1) and four penalty minutes (PIM). The 6-foot-1, 201-pound native of Sarnia, Ontario, played in 59 games with Houston in 2009-10 and registered 22 points (6-16=22) and 36 PIM. He was signed as a free agent by the Minnesota Wild on July 9, 2009, after spending the better part of three seasons with the New York Islanders organization.
The Aeros return home tonight to face the San Antonio Rampage in the annual Teddy Bear Toss game. Bring a stuffed animal to throw on the ice to help support the KHOU 11 News Spirit of Texas Toy Drive and receive two free Aeros tickets. The first 1,500 fans through the turnstiles at Toyota Center will receive a custom knit Houston Aeros scarf. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Puck drop is set for 7:35 p.m.
