HOUSTON AEROS RELEASE MCBRIDE FROM PTO
HOUSTON --- Houston Aeros General Manager Jim Mill today announced that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has released forward Brock McBride from his Professional Tryout (PTO) contract.
McBride, 24 (10/18/86), appeared in 18 games with the Aeros and registered six points (3-3-6) along with a plus-5 rating and 12 penalty minutes (PIM). He scored the game-winning goal Nov. 17 vs. Chicago. The Cornwall, Ontario, native is in his second pro season after a four year career at St. Lawrence University (NCAA).
The Aeros continue their five-game road with games Friday and Saturday at Manitoba with a 7:30 p.m. CST faceoff each night.
The team returns home Dec. 21, against Hamilton at 7:05 p.m. Fans who bring a toy to help support the Bay Star Ambulance/MD Anderson Cancer Center Toy Drive will receive two tickets to the Aeros game on New Year’s Day.
