OVERVIEW
The Houston Aeros (3-1-0-2) close out their second three-in-three weekend at home against the Grand Rapids Griffins (3-3-0-0). Houston fell 2-1 in the shootout at Charlotte last night. They have earned at least a point in all but one game this season. The Griffins edged Oklahoma City 3-2 in the shootout last night at OKC.

LAST WEEK
The Aeros earned three out of a possible six points last week with a win at Texas on Friday, a shootout loss at home against San Antonio on Saturday and a loss at Oklahoma City on Sunday.

This is the first of six meetings… The Aeros visit Grand Rapids on Jan. 11 in the next matchup… The Griffins next come to Houston for back-to-back games on March 10 and 11.

---Carson McMillan received a four-game suspension from the AHL for an illegal check to the head on Oct. 15. He will miss all of this weekend’s games plus the game on Oct. 28.
---Casey Wellman has points in five of six games this season. He had four goals in the first three games of the season. He had two goals on Oct. 9 to record his second multi-goal game in the AHL.
---Jeff Taffe scored with four seconds remaining at CHA on Oct. 21 to win the game for the Aeros. It was his first goal as an Aero.
---Drew Bagnall made his season debut at CHA on Oct. 21 after missing the first four games recovering from an offseason injury.
---Justin Fontaine scored his first AHL goal on Oct. 15 and added a shootout goal.
--- Goaltender Darcy Kuemper was reassigned to the Ontario (Calif.) Reign (ECHL) in order to gain playing time. The Aeros had been carrying three goaltenders (Dennis Endras and Matt Hackett are the other two).

HACKETT ---Stopped 33 of 34 and 4 of 5 in a 2-1 SOL at CHA on Oct. 22… Made 33 saves in 3-2 win at CHA on Oct. 21… Started the first three games of the season… Made 23 saves and stopped 9 of 11 chances in the shootout (first 8) on Oct. 15 vs. SAN.
ENDRAS ---Made first Aeros and North American start at OKC on Oct. 16 turning aside 14 of 16 shots in a 2-0 loss.
