Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled right wing Jon DiSalvatore and defenseman Nate Prosser from the Houston Aeros.

WILD RECALLS DISALVATORE, PROSSER FROM AEROS

HOUSTON (DECEMBER 27, 2011) --- Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled right wing Jon DiSalvatore and defenseman Nate Prosser from the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League (AHL). The Wild also placed defenseman Clayton Stoner on injured reserve.
 
DiSalvatore, 30 (3/30/81), leads the Aeros with 26 points (10-16=26) in 32 games while serving as team captain. He led the Aeros with 61 points (28-33=61) in 80 games last season, while tying for the team lead in post-season goals (seven) as Houston advanced to the Calder Cup Finals. In 191 games with the Aeros, he has registered 139 points (59-80=139). DiSalvatore is the Aeros AHL franchise leader in power play goals (30), is tied for fourth in goals, ranks sixth in assists, is tied for sixth in points and tied for fifth in game-winning goals (7).

The 6-foot-1, 200-pound native of Bangor, Maine, skated five NHL games with St. Louis in 2005-06, recording two penalty minutes. DiSalvatore was San Jose’s fourth-round pick (No. 104 overall) in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. He will wear No. 29 with the Wild.
 
Prosser, 25 (5/7/86), has tallied four assists and eight penalty minutes (PIM) in 14 games with the Wild over two recalls this season while averaging 19:40 in time on ice per contest. In 14 games with Houston he has tallied two assists, a plus-9 rating and five PIM. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound native of Elk River, Minn., native has collected five assists in 19 career NHL matches with the Wild.

The Aeros visit San Antonio on Friday at 7 p.m. and return home on Sunday to host the Oklahoma City Barons at 5:05 p.m.
