Houston Aeros General Manager Jim Mill today announced that the American Hockey League team has agreed to a one-year contract with goaltender Mike Brodeur.

AEROS SIGN GOALIE MIKE BRODEUR TO ONE-YEAR CONTRACT
HOUSTON --- Houston Aeros General Manager Jim Mill today announced that the American Hockey League team has agreed to a one-year contract with goaltender Mike Brodeur.
Brodeur, 28 (3/30/83), has a 40-37-6 record in 102 AHL regular season games with four shutouts, a 2.85 goals against average (GAA) and a .907 save percentage (SV%). He also has appeared in seven NHL games, all with the Ottawa Senators, posting a 3-1-0 record with one shutout, a 2.17 GAA alonga with a .922 SV%.
Signed by the Aeros as a free agent in March, 2012, Brodeur was assigned to the Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL before making his Aeros debut in the 2012 Calder Cup Playoffs. In four playoff games, Brodeur went 1-1 with a 2.40 GAA, a .917 SV% and one shutout.
The 6-foot-2, 186-pound Calgary native was selected to the Canadian All-Star team for the 2009 AHL All-Star Classic and was a seventh-round selection (211th overall) of the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
