HOUSTON, Texas - The Houston Aeros have announced their "Clear Day" roster. According to AHL by-laws, only those players listed on a teams Clear Day roster are eligible to compete in the remaining four weeks of the AHL regular season and in the 2005 Calder Cup Playoffs, unless emergency conditions arise as a result of recall, injury or suspension. Teams may also add signed junior players or players on amateur tryout contracts, only after their respective junior or college seasons are complete.
The following players are on the Clear Day list: goaltenders Josh Harding and Mike Smith; defensemen Brent Burns, Erik Reitz, Zbynek Michalek, Ray Giroux, Patrick Traverse, Todd Reirden and John Erskine; and forwards Kirby Law, Rickard Wallin, Dan Cavanaugh, Mark Cullen, Marc Cavosie, Mikko Koivu (pictured), Junior Lessard, Stephane Veilleux, Kyle Wanvig, Christoph Brandner, Derek Boogaard, Matt Foy and Pierre-Marc Bouchard.
The following Aeros are listed as "In Residence" and can play in the event of injuries and suspensions to the above players: defensemen Chris Heid and Ryan Stokes; forwards Marius Holtet, Jeremy Reich and Joey Tetarenko.
