HOUSTON AEROS ANNOUNCE AFFILIATION AGREEMENT WITH ALLEN
Aeros Ink Agreement with CHL Club for 2012-13
Houston, TX – Houston Aeros General Manager Jim Mill, in conjunction with the Central Hockey League’s Allen Americans, announced on Wednesday an affiliation agreement for the 2012-13 season.
“The Allen Americans are a model franchise in the CHL,” said Jim Mill. “They have a great building and a strong ownership group that includes former NHLers Steve Duchesne, Mike Modano, Craig Ludwig and Ed Belfour. With our proximity to Allen, it makes perfect sense for us to have a few players develop within their organization.”
The Aeros currently have two players assigned to the Americans; forward Ryley Grantham and defenseman Mike Montgomery, who were both assigned to Allen in early October.
“I’m excited that we were able to get this done,” said Americans Head Coach Steve Martinson. “Ryley Grantham was given the opportunity to go to camp with the Houston Aeros and Mike Montgomery was assigned to us from Houston. That’s the way an affiliation works with players coming to us and the opportunity for our guys to move up. I look forward to working with both Jim Mill and John Torchetti this season to help both organizations as needed.”
Houston will play two games in Oklahoma City this coming weekend, prior to coming back home on Sunday, Nov. 4. The Aeros play the Barons on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Cox Convention Center. Houston will return home on Sunday, Nov. 5 at 5:05 p.m. with the Grand Rapids Griffins at the Toyota Center. This season, every Sunday home game is a Sunday Family Day. Aeros fans may purchase four tickets, parking and four Aeros gifts starting at $54.
Aeros season tickets start as low as $9 per seat and may be purchased online at Aeros.com by placing a $100 deposit. Once your order is processed, an Aeros ticket representative will contact you to choose your exact seat location, as well as discuss the payment options.
